The challenge

Overgrown lakefront lot bounded by a busy highway, once considered unbuildable and unsuitable for private residence; originally built as a Riemco model

The solution

Main living areas oriented to lake, while elements such as baths, garage, and a den buffer the roadside exposure. Site-specific sound-deadening and temperature insulation needs were also factored into the construction specifications.
